Packaging Buyer

Currently our company is looking to hire a talented and competitive individual in the capacity of Purchase Assistant at our Dubai Office to fulfil the company’s goals of achieving quality and quantity parameters for their products.

Duties and Responsibilities

Packaging Development Activities

  • Will be responsible for sourcing and procuring variety of packaging materials from both local and international vendors
  • Coordinating with relevant departments to develop new packaging and labels for new products
  • Develop relevant marketing materials for with external vendors and designers for necessary events and exhibitions
  • Ensure proper implementation of packaging requirements
  • The ability to evaluate technical and commercial specifications of a cross section of goods is a key requirement
  • Should be able to coordinate international/import procurements, and will be responsible for arranging and managing the appropriate documentation for such purchases
  • Should be well organized in daily operational procurement needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.

Vendor Development & Negotiation

  1. Negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers, vendors is a critical responsibility of this position
  2. Should monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
  3. Constantly develop and maintain working relations with existing and new vendors.
  4. Identify and develop new vendors and suppliers in every quarter on an ongoing basis.

Procurement Planning and Inventory Control

  1. To effectively forecast material needs by coordinating with Sales and Warehouse Team continuously
  2. Ensure inventory control to avoid shortage for any order fulfilment

Inbound Logistics Management

  1. Executing every order in a timely fashion
  2. Ensure cost-effective management of inbound material supply chain and logistics
  3. Proper Import Documentation and custom handling is to be taken care of with every order


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 2-4 Years’ experience in similar industry
  • Experience and Understanding of ISO procedures and standards and other related quality standards
  • Should have excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Should be able to effectively manage & maintain stock and inventory
