Job Title: Head Chef SOC Number: 5434


Menu Creation and Development: Spearhead the development of traditional dishes like Rogan Josh, Biryani, and Butter Chicken while introducing innovative Indian fusion recipes. Create seasonal specials, focusing on regional dishes such as Malabar Prawn Curry or Rajasthani Laal Maas.

New Recipe Development: Innovate on classics. Maybe a twist on the traditional Samosa, or an entirely new take on Tandoori dishes, blending flavours and techniques from both traditional Indian and global cuisines.

Sourcing Premium Ingredients: Partner with suppliers to get the best spices directly from India, ensuring our Garam Masala, Turmeric, and Cardamom are of top quality. Also, source local produce to make sure our vegetables and meats are fresh.

Mentoring and Supervising Staff: Regularly conduct workshops for the team on techniques like perfecting the softness of a Naan or the intricacies of marinating meats for kebabs.

Health and Safety Compliance: Oversee the preparation of dishes, ensuring that items like street food favourites Pani Puri and Bhel Puri are prepared hygienically.

Promotional Events Participation: Organize monthly events showcasing dishes from specific regions of India or focusing on festivals, like a Diwali special menu.

Skill, Experience, Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a culinary leadership role.
  • Professional culinary training with a specialization in Indian and fusion cuisines.
  • Proven success in menu development and recipe innovation.
  • Leadership skills coupled with excellent team management capabilities.
  • Proficient in modern and traditional culinary techniques, presentation styles, and

kitchen operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £23,200.00-£26,200.00 per year
