Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:

The Accounting Assistant will support the financial activities of the corporation and assist with the preparation of current financial reports and summaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns.
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; assists with any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Analyses operations to identify areas in need of reorganisation or elimination.
  • Support digitisation of processes to improve efficiency and enhance analytical performance.
  • Works with the Finance Director and other executives to assist with planning and establish priorities for the planning process.

Requirements to apply

  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good communicator.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Problem solver.
  • ACCA or CIMA designation preferred.
