Job Overview

Komatsu’s two-year Graduate program will see you complete on the job training through a range of learning assignments relevant to your chosen field of study. We currently have Graduate opportunity available in Control & Automation within our Underground Mining Equipment business. This role will provide Electrical/C&A engineering support work for continuous mining development products.

If successful you will experience a well-balanced and structured program designed to give you an opportunity to develop technical skills, business skills and leadership capability in a range of business areas to secure an ongoing successful career with Komatsu.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Software and hardware system testing
  • Software proposal/specification writing
  • Control & automation incident investigation
  • System Integration and Communications design
  • Field trial design
  • Review and approve technical publications
  • Visit mine sites as required
  • Regional support for global engineering teams
  • Support to sales for system upgrades, contract and specification reviews.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Electrical or Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant discipline
  • A strong interest in control systems and communications, desired.
  • Closed-loop control systems and control system theory (classical and modern), desired.
  • A knowledge of mining equipment solutions and the industry is desired.
  • Participation in effective Change Management implementation, desired.
  • Experience in cross-functional team assignment(s), desired.
