  • To constantly monitor and manage the Housekeeping Operation in order to guarantee highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel areas. To motivate and train colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient Housekeeping operation. To fulfil and exceed guest expectations in accordance with the ME Brand standards.
  • Lead and manage the housekeeping supervisors and room attendants
  • Motivate, train, and supervise all Housekeeping colleagues
  • Ensure that all relevant FHLSS standards are in place and followed
  • Execute projects such as preventive maintenance, inventories, and productivity studies
  • Review regularly Standard Operating Procedures, and Processes in order to guarantee effective and efficient service as per ME Dubai Standards
  • Conduct daily meetings with Supervisors and Housekeeping colleagues
  • Maintain an ongoing Safe & Sound program
  • Conduct regular inventories of cleaning equipment, linen and guest supplies, to ensure sufficient stock at all times
  • Conduct appraisal and performance reviews on a regular basis
  • Identify colleagues for further development or training needs
  • Execute quarterly, half-yearly, yearly cleaning schedules for all hotel areas
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering about daily challenges
  • Establish Preventive Maintenance Plan and Snag lists for rooms and public areas
  • Develop training plans and establish measurements for training needs
  • Manage the minibar operations cost effective and conduct regular inventories
  • Respond to guest questions and needs professionally, timely and with a smile
  • Handle guest complaints in a polite and professional manner
  • Take ownership of any guest complaints and follow up on the service recovery
  • Meet with guests in order to meet their expectations and to gather preferences
  • Spot check arrivals and ensure their preferences are fulfilled
  • Provide guest assistance, direction and information as requested
  • Conduct daily communication meetings about any glitches or guest challenges
  • Ensure that all MHI standards are in place at all times
  • Schedule, monitor and ensure completion of deep cleaning programs and assign tasks to housekeeping colleagues.
  • Perform line level functions in emergency situations
  • Provide a working environment that allows colleagues to excel
  • Provide cost effective housekeeping management without compromising on quality
  • Ensure that the housekeeping operation is performing consistently at a very high level
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Be creative, energetic and willing to exceed expectations in order to guarantee highest staff and guest satisfaction.
  • Motivate and inspire the Housekeeping Team to continuously deliver formidable luxury service
  • Immaculately groomed and articulate, professional appearance
  • Update ME Dubai reports and related training log books
  • Update cleaning schedules and tasks regularly
  • Execute departmental trainings and hand in training sheets
  • Review and monitor the productivity of room attendants
  • It is part of your role to understand and disseminate/communicate all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures to the colleagues.
  • It is part of your strategy to fully understand and support in all aspects the ME Dubai Human Resources Strategic Policy.
  • It is part of your role and your responsibility to fully support all learning and development activities.
  • You shall take all reasonable steps to safeguard stored information, and not divulge or otherwise transfer any personal data concerning the guests, customers or colleagues, or any confidential information concerning the hotel unless with the appropriate authority.
  • Use of the hotel’s network, computers or internet access which is in the hotel’s view unreasonable or inappropriate, for example gambling, chatroom, or pornographic material, is a serious breach of hotel policy and grounds for summary dismissal.
  • Support and adhere to all policies & procedures relating to Safe, Sound and Sustainable at ME Dubai.
