BILINGUAL DATA ENTRY & VERIFICATION COORDINATOR

This position reports to the Team Lead, Grant Management, and is responsible for entering the application data in our internal application tracking system and ensuring that key data is correct and complete, so that we are able assess the applications and provide the required reports and information to our funders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring and processing incoming applications for all Mitacs’ programs.
  • Application/form data entry.
  • Prioritizing the applications to meet program deadlines ensure all applications entered in a timely manner
  • Reviewing applications/forms for completeness and conducting any follow up as necessary on missing or incomplete items
  • Querying the system, to search/verify applicant information using a variety of techniques to ensure data quality
  • Information System data QA: Cleaning up, modifying, and/or verification of the data within our workflow systems by identifying data errors, single or multifactorial solutions to identify data errors, tracking, provide IT with examples, follow-up and providing feedback to IT, verifying IT data alert/report implementation, and reporting on defect rate by submission, GM, Finance, Admin, Business Development, and Science teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • The ideal candidate would have post-secondary education
  • Bilingualism required
  • Very strong multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated administrative background
  • Work experience in academic setting and account management is an asset
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with databases and SharePoint is an asset
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team environment and balance the needs of a number of individuals
  • Must be professional and adept at working with people across teams at various levels within an organisation.
