Plant manager

The Plant Manager is responsible for supervising and directing all operations and activities of a production facility, the main objective is to guarantee operational efficiency, product quality and compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.┬áThe Plant Manager must lead the work team, manage resources and contribute to the achievement of the company’s production and profitability objectives.

Main Functions of the Plant Manager

  • Responsibility and Global Approach of the Business Unit and its Profit and Loss Statement (P&L)
  • Supervise and direct quality, maintenance and production operations of the plant, ensuring that the organization’s standards and policies are met.┬áThe objective is to deliver high-quality products efficiently in terms of time and costs, thus contributing to achieving the expected profitability margins.
  • Lead the Comprehensive Plant Management Model to achieve established standards in terms of production, profitability, quality and human talent management, and to foster a long-term quality culture.
  • Direct and guarantee the proper implementation of investment projects in collaboration with the department in charge, with the objective of maximizing the return on investment.
  • Develop strategies that ensure compliance with the defined Business Plan, with the purpose of achieving the performance indicators stipulated by the organization.
  • Design, lead and supervise management systems, ensuring compliance with the financial strategy throughout the manufacturing process, from start to finish.
  • Establish systemic collaboration processes from Monterrey with the various areas involved in the manufacturing process, guaranteeing the achievement of the results committed to in the Business Plan.

Key skills and experience

  • (Essential) Experience in the FMCG food industry, its production and manufacturing
  • Necessary experience in supervising operation indicators, such as waste reduction, cost control, maintenance and labor costs, among others.
  • History of verifiable achievements in plant management, workforce supervision including unionized and non-unionized personnel with multiple production lines in the FMCG sector
  • The Plant Manager must have in-depth knowledge in key areas such as production processes, quality control, maintenance, profitability and human resources management.
  • It is important to be familiar with regulatory management and compliance systems, such as ISO and HCCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), in the food and FMCG industry.
